Plastics breaking down faster than thought

We hear how plastics won’t break down for 100’s of years. Clearly that’s only for things we don’t want around, for things we doâ€Ļthey break down much faster. Apparently Neil Armstrong’s spacesuit at the national air and space museum is breaking down. There’s a rubbery layer that’s the biggest problem.
